THIS LISTING INCLUDES AN OLD HOBBY SHOP STORE STOCK FACTORY SEALED ATLAS REPLACEMENT PART - SINGLE CARD - MINT CONTENTS ONE (1) CHASSIS MOTOR BRUSH ASSEMBLY CONVERSION KIT FOR ATLAS LITTLE BOMB AT-208 8V 1570-1 SLOT CAR MOTOR - STOCK NUMBER 1570-6C

NOTE: This kit was designed expressly for those wishing to convert their ATLAS lil bomb motor to side mounted brushes.

1. Remove original top mounted brushes.
2. Break off fibre brush board from small rivet, and either crimp the end of the rivet till it can be pushed through the brass end plate, or carefully file the rivet head off and push it through both the fibre board and the end plate for use as a spare part.
3. The motor need not be disassembled to install your new conversion kit, simply follow the following steps and refer to the drawing.

1. Place brass TERMINAL over BRUSH SCREW
2. Next, place FIBRE WASHER over BRUSH SCREW
3. Fit small end of BRUSH into end of SPRING and insert both as a unit into the BRUSH SCREW. Be sure BRUSH is facing out.
4. Insert BRUSH SCREW RETAINER into hole in pole piece of motor directly opposite commutator, through the inside of the motor, a pair of tweezers may be helpful in this step. Be sure that flat side of BRUSH SCREW RETAINER is facing brass bearing plate and is seated firmly into hole.
5. Now simply screw assembled BRUSH SCREW into BRUSH SCREW RETAINER from the outside of the motor and tighten. At this time it would be wise to position tip of TERMINAL to the location of your choice.
6. Repeat the above steps exactly for the other brush positioned directly opposite. Solder leads to TERMINAL tip after you are sure of polarity.
