Q: How can I be sure this is an original roof? Transparent, red or any colored roof can be bought for a few dollars so anyone can make a $2500 truck out of a $150 truck.

A: GREAT QUESTION! I have added closeup images of the underside of the cab which clearly shows that this was factory sealed. The roofs you are referring to are NOT vintage injected molded ABS cycolac plastic but are modern day resin.

Q: I would assume this roof was destined to be painted on the outside (some were outer, some were inner), the person painting went home early and this got put in a box and shipped without getting its roof painted. It is more an error than a variety if you know what I mean in that they never intended to have a clear roof version.

A: GREAT OBSERVATION! I do not know about the person going home early, but the rest makes perfect sense.
